Copper Queens Squad Named For Friendlies

Copper Queens head coach Nora Hauptle has unveiled a 35-member provisional squad ahead of two high-profile international friendlies against South Africa and Botswana, scheduled between May 26 and June 3.

The matches fall within the FIFA Women’s International Match Window and are part of Zambia’s preparations for the 2025 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which kicks off July 5 in Morocco. Zambia has been placed in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Senegal, and DR Congo.

The Copper Queens will take on defending African champions South Africa on May 31, followed by a match against Botswana on June 3. Both fixtures will be held in South Africa
