Zambia to Host Digital Government Africa Summit 2025.

Zambia is set to host the Digital Government Africa Summit 2025 from October 7 to 9, bringing together more than 30 delegates from across the continent in a landmark event designed to accelerate Africa’s digital transformation.
The summit will focus on building inclusive, efficient, and technology-driven public services, with discussions centering on digital national identity, authentication systems, infrastructure development, and regional collaboration. These priorities resonate with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, which calls for cross-border cooperation and knowledge sharing to strengthen Africa’s digital future.
Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security, Hon. Jack Mwiimbu, said the summit provides an opportunity for Zambia to showcase its progress in digital inclusion while reflecting on how far the nation has come in building smart systems of governance.
Acting Minister of Science and Technology, Hon. Elvis Nkandu, described the gathering as Africa’s leading platform for e-governance and innovation in public service delivery. He noted that Zambia has made strides in creating a smart, innovative, and inclusive digital economy, adding that the country hopes to set a benchmark for other African states.
John Glass, CEO of Africa Brain the organization that has spearheaded the summit since its launch in 2023 emphasized that the event aligns closely with Zambia’s e-Government policy and broader national digital goals. He stressed the importance of continued regional cooperation in digital governance, saying the summit offers a chance for countries to share best practices and innovative solutions.
National Coordinator for Smart Services, Mr. Percy Chinyama, explained that the summit’s dual purpose is to learn from countries already advanced in digital transformation while supporting those still building their capabilities. He called it “a valuable opportunity for growth, collaboration, and shared progress across Africa.”
As Zambia prepares to welcome digital leaders from across the continent, the spotlight will be on innovation, inclusivity, and the potential of technology to transform governance. The challenge, however, remains whether the discussions at the summit will translate into lasting reforms that improve public service delivery across Africa.
