Zambia Resumes Issuance of KAZA Uni-Visa

THE Ministry of Tourism and Art says the issuance of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier (KAZA) UNI-Visa will resume on May 1, 2016.

The resumption is expected to see an increase in the number of tourist visits to KAZA member countries comprising Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

In a media release, Ministry of Tourism and Arts Public Relations Officer Sakabilo Kalembwe says the stickers ran out sometime in November 2015 due to high demand as more tourists prefer to buy their visas from Zambia.

He says Zambia and Zimbabwe have 50,000 stickers to be shared equally.

“The international collaboration of countries through transfrontier conservation has seen a rise in the wildlife and nature conservation which has amplified tourist visits in the region,” he says.

Mr. Kalembwe says Zambia has proved to be a preferable arrival destination for tourist and hence high demand for the visas.
