Zambia Mining and Investment Insaka 2026 Hosts Gala Dinner in Lusaka

The Zambia Mining and Investment Insaka 2026 held a gala dinner at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka on Tuesday evening, bringing together stakeholders from the mining, investment and government sectors.

The dinner formed part of the five-day Zambia Mining and Investment Insaka, running from October 19 to 23, 2026, under the theme, “Transforming Africa’s Mining Landscape: Regional Value Chains, Shared Prosperity and Empowering Communities.”

The gathering provides a platform for mining companies, investors, government representatives and other stakeholders to engage on investment opportunities, regional cooperation and strategies to strengthen Africa’s mining industry.

The 2026 Insaka is also focused on increasing mineral production, promoting local value addition and ensuring that mining activities generate employment and economic opportunities for local communities.

Speaking during the official opening of the event, President Hakainde Hichilema urged mining licence holders to develop their mineral assets or enter into partnerships with capable investors to unlock the country’s mineral potential.

The President stressed the need for the Insaka to deliver tangible investment agreements and projects that contribute to Zambia’s economic growth.

The event is being held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka and is organised around the broader ambition of strengthening Zambia’s mining investment environment while advancing regional value chains and shared prosperity.
