THE HORSE AND THE RIDER
There lived a horse rider in a town called Lusaka in Zambia. This rider used his horse for racing competitions. But each time he raced, his horse always came out last. The rider got very upset with the horse’ performance, and said,’’ This horse is useless ’’. Then he thought of digging a trench to bury the horse. He then dug the trench and pushed the horse in it.
What the rider didn’t realize was that, the more he poured dirt on the horse, the more the horse shook the dirt off its back and step on it. Eventually, the horse was out of the trench. And it ran away from the rider. In this mobile theory we learn practically that even, with us dreamers, people throw dirt on us. But with determination, persistence, courage we can shake off the same dirt, and use it as stepping stone to climb to the top. If we take the concept of the dream to be the referred to as the concept of the car ,road and the driver.
What is a car? The car refers to the tools one uses to get to his dreams ,these are your skills, abilities talents you have. Like in the story of the horse and the rider the horse used it skills, talents and abilities to come out of the trench and escaped death.
What is the road? The road refers to the situations the dreamer passes through before getting the dreams. In the story of the horse and the rider the pouring of dirt on top of the horse is the situation . But in our real lives these situations can be lack of finances , the insults you receive from people ,the people who laugh at your dream and say you can never make it .
Who is the driver ?The driver refers to you the dreamer ,and the question is can you will yourself to succeed .when people say you can never make it ,when one knows your name ,when your have more tears and more fears than you will yourself to succeed. In the story of the horse and the rider the horse did not sit it acted courageously by shaking off the dirt and stepping on top of it, the horse was raising.
As long as you the dreamer does not back your dreams with action the will remain dreams. It takes courage to live your dreams .if you do not work upon them they will turn into nightmare. You must always remember that Earth will never be heaven were things happen smoothly, and that God gave you boxing gloves to fight and live your dreams.
