the deaf tortoise
In the valley of Africa there lived four tortoises and amongst them one was a deaf. It was very deaf such that it could not get even the slightest sound from the environment.
One day they happened to argue amongst themselves, who amongst them was the strongest, toughest, and fastest.
They thought of organizing a race, which they did and in that race the assignment they had was to climb on top of the ant hill in the valley .Then they invited other animals to witness the race.
As the race began ,the animals watching the tortoises gathered round the ant hill, shouting and mocking the tortoises .There were all sort of abusive language and they could shout that tortoises cannot climb an ant hill .The three tortoises that could hear these remarks got discouraged, they began to slow down in the climbing until they stopped climbing. But the one that was deaf could not hear the words these animals could shout.
It reached the top of the ant hill and all the animals that were shouting ,mocking and laughing at tortoises were silenced ,wondering how it got there. As it come down[slopped] the ant hill these animals cheered ,and congratulated it saying they knew it was going to make. But what they did not realize was that , the tortoise was deaf. asked it questions like ‘how did you make it there’ yet it did not respond. After asking it many-many-many questions without answering , they realized that it was a deaf tortoise.
In this story we learn that we should some times play the role of a deaf tortoise to words that distract us from achieving our goals.
If you have friends that influence you to break your rules or give up on your goals or cause you to offend people ,then those are not good friends and you must let go them .
As a dreamer always know that people are like shadows that change the position of location depending on the position of the sun . when the sun rises on your side the tune of talk changes and they say we knew you were going to make it.
If you are not a Christian like some of my friends you will say things like ‘if you were not with me on my waste days then you are not fit to be with me on my best days.
