survival of A new single mother’s

An intriguing mother in her mid twenties had this to say about being a mother and its challenges. She called the experience, “A new single mother’s survival”. She said, “Being a mother takes more than just child bearing, to start with, it all starts from the moment one discovers that she is pregnant, the attachment of the baby and the mother starts in the womb, the woman starts to experience changes in her life throughout the 9 month pregnancy period.
She puts her unborn her priority in everything, so precious it is to have a human being develop en grow inside the womb. As the time comes to give birth no matter what people say about the agony of labor pains, what an expecting mother looks forward to is beyond those labor pains. It is true, child bearing is painful that is why it is called labor, the pain itself cannot be described better with words but with experience and it’s worth it.
After minutes of struggle and pain a baby is born, the pain subsides and disappears immediately or perhaps the joy of the baby’s arrival surpasses all pains felt. From that moment on, a woman enters into another phase of motherhood and her life changes completely. Her lifestyle changes, the new baby becomes the center of everything in her life a new experience continues. It’s not easy to be a single mom, a woman faces all challenges of being a mother alone but what’s comforting is that if she endured the labor pains then she can stand any life challenges brought by single motherhood. She becomes both the mother and father of the baby. She has to nurse the new born baby, nurse her own child-painful-wounds, endure sleepless nights, breast pains, the non stop crying of the baby throughout the night, endure tiredness from doing a lot of roles at the same time and still take care of the baby.
She pays close attention to the helpless newborn for a healthy growth and endures the baby’s crying moments when sick and goes through the pressure making sure she loses the after delivery tummy and stays back in shape, all this makes the mother to feel like crying but stays strong for the precious baby’s sake. Days go by so fast and the baby grows more and more mind bursting headaches come, she thinks of the needs of the baby. The soaps, clothes, milk, porridge, she thinks about how she will meet them but pts her strength in God and all over again she continues to pull through as she gets stronger with every new thing. Life makes her experienced. Salute to motherhood and all single moms, it’s not easy at all but still pulls through and always there for her child to provide the best. I now understand why Mothers’ Day is recognized and celebrated. The source, who is a mother herself, gave up this story after giving birth to her first child ever. She is a very proud and happy mother.
