hearts off to the freedom fighters

Yesterday was not like today. Yesterday was a difficult era to live in. our forefathers were subjected into slavery, by the colonial masters in their own motherland. They were oppressed and suppressed, harassed and abused, used in false labor with little or no pay at all. They were captured, tortured and sold off like commodities. And they were deprived of human rights. Many of them found themselves in far places and foreign continents. And there they toed hard under inhuman conditions.
Our national wealthy was in the hands of these colonial masters. And they used it all to their personal and their nation’s benefit. They impoverished us mercilessly and plundered our national resources, wild life, and vegetation, mineral and human resource. Our forefathers lived in constant and real fear anytime they would be capture and exported. So they deserted their homes to sleep in trees, curves and wholes. For a long time they bared and endured that life but for how longer could they bear it?
So they began to resist this humiliation of being slaves to foreigners in their own motherland. Bit by bit like termites mold an anthill. Their resistance was building up under a few influential names. And the colonial masters noticed it. There and then they applied brutal and dreadful means to crush it but nothing worked. Nothing could defeat their will to be free, to win freedom for the future generations.
The struggle of our forefathers national freedom became relentless and the strive of the colonial masters to silence and stop them was merciless. Blood and ion came into a war against each other. There was massive blood shade, many of our forefathers died. But in the end they won us this independence and the nation was free from colonial masters, slavery and oppression. We the owners were back in control of it. Today we are 50 years up the line. And we must remember and appreciate you for your sacrifice. Hearts off to our freedom fighters, our gallant forefathers, we salute you.
