Former Chipolopolo Star Justin Shonga Laid to Rest.

The Lusaka football community gathered to bid farewell to former Chipolopolo striker Justin Shonga, who passed away on Sunday after a brief illness. A memorial service was held at the Arakan Barracks chapel, presided over by Zambia Police chaplains.
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) General Secretary Reuben Kamanga led the tributes, remembering Shonga as a "proven goal scorer" who played a crucial role in the national team's success. "His goals helped us qualify for the 2018 African Nations Championship in Morocco," Kamanga said.
Zambia Police representative Adrian Kashala praised Shonga's talent, which brought him national recognition. Several football dignitaries, including Chipolopolo assistant coach Moses Sichone, former national team coach Wedson Nyirenda, and FAZ Technical Director Lyson Zulu, attended the service.
Shonga's body was flown to his hometown, Chipata, where he will be laid to rest on Thursday. The 27-year-old player had a storied career, playing for clubs in Georgia, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.
