FIRST LADY COMMISSIONS RURAL HEALTH CENTRE IN SINAZONGWE.

First lady Mrs  Mutinta Hichilema has officially handed over the Mutinta Hichilema rural health centre ,to government in sinazongwe District.The Mutinta Hichilema rural centre was constructed with support from Peng Liyuan ,First lady of China and has been equipped with 20 hospital beds ,5 pediatric beds ,3 delivery beds ,5 wheelchairs ,10 Bassinets,50 pairs of bed sheets, 60 blankets and an upright fridge.

 

The first lady also donated assorted story books ,school  bags ,mathematical instruments and sets of football Jerseys to the local siatwiinda primary school. 

 

Mrs Hichilema emphasized the importance of strengthening health care services in

in rural areas, noting that improved local facilities reduces the need for residents to travel long distances to urban centres to access medical services. 

 

Meanwhile, Sinazongwe Town Council contributed three air conditioners to preserve drug potency and installed ramps for easier movement of patients and people living with disabilities.
