face to face with shaka

He’s a great figure in South African history, a man of insurmountable courage, power and vision. He made a small kingdom gain a special and inevitable recognition in history. What a personality was this man? His name is Shaka, but is popularly known as Shaka the Zulu. Shaka experienced one of the roughest childhood. He was considered illegitimate son of his father, the then Zulu chief. He was discriminated to a point of being exiled he was brutalized by his age mates. But through it all, against all odds he survived. He had astonishing determination and that’s what enabled him to finally ascend to his father’s thrown.
Today I won’t talk about the rise or the fall of Shaka. I will talk about a fiercer thing, his look. Before I proceed I would like you to imagine Shaka's face. I would run a mile if I saw Shaka face to face. I don’t think I am a better coward than many of you, because you would do the same. Shaka was handsome but savagery overshadowed his face, so much that he was fierce instead. Contempt was evident on his face to anyone who glimpsed him. You would tremble to stand before him; you would stammer and fail to pronounce even the word yes in his presence.
Shaka was a big giant very muscular and fearless, strong and tough. In his armor, the spear extra- large, the shield that covered his whole body, in bare feet like he always wanted. Shaka was really fitting the kind of legacy he left. The incredible accomplishments he made. If you mate Shaka face to face tell me what you would do. If he looked at you how would you react?
