FACE THE ZAMBIA

Let’s not forget these words nation, they have seen us through. Against all odds these words have sailed us through. They have been storms and great stones on the journey but these words have carried us through. We have faced similar troubles and situations but these words have distinguished us.Yes, nation reverence these words for their importance. They are the Conner-stone of our society.
These words are peace, unite, togetherness, corporation, competition and development. Look we have maintained peace and have not fought a war. We have maintained unit and have not been divided before despite our many tribes and origins. We have cooperated and have worked together without segregation in the nation. We have competed fairly amongst ourselves and with others. And we have developed gradually until today when we are fifty years old as a nation.
Golden jubilee falls on us on 24 October 2014. Yes we shall jubilate and celebrate. Some of us with moneys shall feast and be merry. But the next day we shall face again the same Zambia with great issues to fight and attend to. Issues of poverty, underdevelopment, corruption, and unemployment, with great struggles over illiteracy, ignorance, immorality and indulgence. Zambia with a disgruntled youth population.
Like or not we must fight for a Zambia that’s better than the present. We have to face these issues I have mentioned or else our jubilee will be nothing more than an elapsing time. This is the time we need to check into ourselves as a country. We need to wake up and work out. It’s not time to slumber and snore in bed.
I passionately appeal to the government to work hard diligently, intelligently and transparently. And fight these problems so that we can progress. And I entreat the general citizenry to work had and do their part, duty and responsibility so we can develop.nation lets not forget these words they have seen us through and will see us through to the future. doing otherwise wont be for our own good.
