Eagles Ladies Patron Urges Women to Scale Up Production for Economic Growth in Chipata

Eagles Ladies Club Patron Angela Solochi has urged women to move beyond small-scale businesses and embrace large-scale production to achieve real economic growth. She made the remarks during her tour of the Zambia National Service Land Development Unit (LDU) in Chipata, where she met club members and appreciated their ongoing projects.

She commended the women for their dedication to activities such as poultry, gardening, tailoring, and small-scale trading, but emphasized the need to expand these ventures. She encouraged them to stop waiting for opportunities and instead create their own, stressing that initiative and action are key to success and long-term development.

Mrs Solochi further noted that scaling up production would not only increase income but also strengthen families, support children’s education, and build resilience within communities. She also highlighted the importance of unity among women, urging them to support one another as they grow their businesses.

Meanwhile, Chipata Zambia National Service Land Development Unit (LDU) Chairlady Christine Mporokoso praised the Patron for her continued support and leadership. She said the club remains active in income-generating ventures such as doormat production and beverage sales, adding that strong leadership and encouragement have helped members grow, learn, and serve together.
