• On dates, wear clothes that make you feel neat and confident
The number one thing guys appreciate about a woman is someone who is confident in her own skin, someone who likes who she is and owns who she is. A great outfit, especially on a first date, can bring out your true self, whatever that means to you. Now it’s true that, generally speaking, confidence comes from within, but a killer outfit can give you that extra edge you need to make a lasting impression and also help you fake it until you make it.
• What works for one woman may not work for the other
A woman may feel her confident in a great pair of jeans and a flowy top with a pair of flats and another woman may feel her best in a flirty red wrap dress with stilettos. There’s no right or wrong. Learn what you feel best in and then…work it!
• Refresh your dating wardrobe
Go through your wardrobe and throw out the clothes that are part of your old dating stories, the ones that don’t align with that vibrant, empowered woman you want to be in the dating and then go shopping to find clothes that hew more closely to that confident woman you want to become or are in the process of becoming or have already become. Your dating wardrobe is a piece of the dating puzzle so make sure to invest wisely in it.
• Guys don’t care if it’s from Pep, Jets, or Kamwala
Piggybacking off of that last point…men don’t care if you’re wearing low-end, middle-end, or high-end clothes. As long as your clothes look good on you and show off your beauty, well, you’re good to go!
• Find the best shapes that work for you
Which is a great segue to mention how important it is to find clothes that work best for your body type, whether it’s full-figured with an hourglass figure or petite with a more boyish waistline. There are a ton of different styles out there designed to work for all different body types, so get a fashion-oriented friend to help you figure out what shapes, sizes, and styles work for you.
• Black is always great for hiding pit-stains.
Do first dates make you a bit anxious? Do you tend to perspire when anxious? If so, black is always a great way to hide any accidental armpit pancakes or a raging case of sweat.

• Find your color palette
We all have colors that bring out our best features and skin coloring. And we all have colors that wash us out and make us look just plain drab. For instance, I’m best in jewel-toned colors; light pastels, however, wash me out because I’m very fair-skinned. What about you? Stock up on items that make you shine! Red is always a head-turner for guys, so find out what shade of red works best for you and then go out there but remember always dress modestly you don’t want to look like you are from space or skating on a thin ice of good and bad morals dress smart be respectful, and responsible.
