Coca-cola to cut jobs
Drink giant coca-cola is set to cut up to 1,800 jobs worldwide as it continues cost-cutting effects.
The job cut will affect the firm's altlanta headquarts,as well as international operations.The firm said,it already started to inform those workers who will be affected by the cut ''[We have begun] the process of informing associates in the United state and in some internations about the impact on the departments'' a spokes person in an emailed statement to BBC,The firm said further cuts would be made by different departments at various times.
Coca-cola has a global workforce of about 13o,000.Last year in october,Coca-cola chiefeexecutive officer Muhtar kent said the firm was aiming to save some [E1.98bn] in annul was focusedcost by 2019,which would include job cuts.He said the firm on ''steaming and simplifying'' it's operations and that it was proceeding with plans ,for refranchising the marjority of company -owned North American bottling territories by the end of 2017.
