class dodger

The class dodger
There was one person who used to dodge lessons. The more he dodged, the more he liked dodging. He dodged and dodged and dodged until teachers began to notice it. They tried all they could to stop him yet he still did. Eventually, they summoned his parents in their last resort to control him. Yes, he stayed in class just for a few days after. And the teachers were impressed; they thought he had stopped the habit. Then he started it again. It became an addiction, and it affected him so much. His academic performance was so poor but he didn’t mind. In his own words he would say,’’I don’t give a dam,’’ meaning, he didn’t care.
This guy used to do a lot of things at the expense of being in class. Unfortunately most that he did were bad things. Like drinking beer, idol standing, aimless roistering, smoking and making funnies around the school campus. He became so popular in fact because his popularity was on bad things. The right word to use is’’ unpopular’’. Time kept on ticking, and the final exams were fast approaching despite his,’’I don’t give a dam saying,’’. Other pupils got real busy with books but him with indulgences. You would wonder when and what would finally make this guy start to give a dam. As important as school is, it failed.
For sure if you knew how his parents struggled just to afford his school fees. You would find it so foolish that this guy didn’t give a dam. Despicably ridiculous, I don’t know how worse you can despise his mentality. But at the end of the day he would still dodge.
To everyone’s surprise just few days to go to the final exams the guy gave a dam. You would see him with a book. And he could appear and disappear at prep time. Though it’ not possible for one to fatten an animal at the very market day. It’s funny that guys like him try to do it. This time around it’s the teachers who stopped giving a dam about him. They wanted the exam to dam him so that he learns a lesson,’’ to give a dam to important things,’’.They were chasing him out of class. And his classmates would laugh, you know. They found it rather hilarious for the tables to have turned upside down. In football that situation could be likened to exchange of goal posts. Let me just ask you this question, answer it honestly, is class dodging a good thing?
Anyway, this guy lamentably failed the examination. His classmates went into college and he remained a home dweller because he couldn’t be accepted into tertiary education. All the notorious history he made in school amounted to nothing. And he began to regret his deeds. The only way to move forward academically was to rewrite the exams. He admitted being a fool to have wasted precious time.
Not giving a dam to school became a life mistake. Now he would have to lead the motivation stories and speeches of my friend” PICKI KAYOMBO’ for him not to give up on his life. My friend says,’’ as long as we still live, it’s not too late to make corrections and move forward. I’m warning you pupils not to dodge class otherwise sooner or letter you regret it.
