CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION TO RECRUIT HEALTH WORKERS NATIONWIDE
The Civil Service Commission has announced that it will begin a nationwide recruitment of health workers, with the recruitment advertisement set to be published on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
In a press briefing, Civil Service Commission Chairperson Dr. Choolwe Beyani said the exercise, being conducted in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, is aimed at attracting suitably qualified Zambians to fill various positions in different health sector cadres.
Dr. Beyani said the advert will be published in the Zambia Daily Mail and the Times of Zambia before being republished on Thursday, July 16, to ensure wider public access. He said applicants will be required to indicate their preferred district of appointment and submit their application documents through the Post Office. He added that after the three-week application period, applicants will verify their submitted details at their respective District Health Offices from September 1 to 11, 2026, to enhance the accuracy and credibility of the recruitment database.
Dr. Beyani urged applicants to provide accurate information and adhere to the prescribed timelines, warning the public against individuals who may solicit money or falsely promise employment. He stressed that the Civil Service Commission does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process and said appointments will be made strictly on merit, in line with Government’s commitment to transparency, fairness, equity and professionalism.
