ECL MALL TO OPEN NEXT MONTH

EDIGAR Chagwa Lungu ECL Shopping mall is yet to open next month December. Kitwe District Commissioner confirmed this today 1st November, in Kitwe. He said the mall is the first of its kind on the copperbelt second to those in Lusaka. The Commissioner also said the magnificent structure has added value to the city of Kitwe.

 

Mr. Mpundu also although not yet officially opened, some stores including a Garden Court Hotel are operating.

 

Meanwhile, Food Lovers store has also opened its doors to the general public. The store which is at ECL mall opened yesterday 31st November with hundreds of Kitwe residents flocking in.
Food Lovers Human Resource Manager Queen Ndlovu said the shop received an overwhelming number of people despite it being the first day opening in an unfinished mall.

 

“Yesterday we received customers in their hundreds visiting our shop. We did not expect such a turn out considering the fact that we are operating in a place where construction works are going on in some parts of the mall.” Miss Ndlovu said.
