PRESIDENT HICHILEMA ENCOURAGES YOUTH TO RISE AND LEAD.

President Hakainde Hichilema has called on young people to take an active role in building the future of Zambia as the nation commemorates youth day under the theme “Rise and Soar.” The President praised young Zambians for their hard work in markets, businesses and schools, describing them as leaders of today and not just tomorrow.

The President noted that the last four years have been challenging for many young people but emphasized that government took difficult economic decisions to rebuild the country’s foundation. These include debt restructuring and engagement with the international monetary fund to restore economic stability and confidence in the country.

The head of state urged the youth to continue building, creating and leading as partners in national development. He stressed that the country’s future depends on the energy, ideas and determination of young people and expressed confidence that Zambia’s greatest achievements are still ahead.
