Mazabuka Takes Step To Name Township Roads

Mazabuka District is taking steps to name its township roads, making it easier for residents and visitors to navigate.

According to Town Clerk Judith Mukwita Maambo, an ad-hoc committee will be formed to engage with the community on the project.

This initiative follows a proposal by Councilor Glorison Laki, who recommended using durable concrete pillars for road signs to prevent vandalism. Laki stressed the importance of selecting names that reflect the local community's cultural heritage, ensuring the road names are meaningful and relevant.
