FIRST LADY OFFICIATES HANDOVER OF SECONDARY SCHOOL IN LUSAKA WEST 

First Lady Mrs  Mutinta Hichilema is today officiating at the handover of a newly constructed secondary school named in her honour in Lusaka West. She is accompanied by Minister of Education Honourable Douglas Syakalima, Minister of Commerce Honourable Chipoka Mulenga, Minister of Community Development and Social Services Honourable Doreen Mwamba, and other senior officials.

The school has been constructed by the Wonderful Group of Companies and its partners, with the handover ceremony coinciding with the First Lady’s birthday commemorated on 7th May.

The learning institution comprises 15 furnished classrooms, two science laboratories, ablution blocks, three staff houses, solar lighting systems, an administration block, as well as desks and school bags for learners. Hundreds of people are attending the event with support from the Zambia National Service (ZNS).

The new secondary school is expected to improve access to quality education and learning infrastructure for communities in Lusaka West.
